Focusing on classical and steel-strings guitars, my goal is to build precise instruments, grateful to play, with warm and full tone and tailored to the musician’s taste.
With great attention, I tend to achieve equilibrium and sound quality by a work of art, which have the personality and workmanship of unique handcrafted guitars.
The starting point to guitar making was my scholarship in classical guitar and lute; all these questions involved in the playing of a musical instrument in which we find the sources and the answers in lutherie.
It’s still the acoustical and aesthetic beauty of the guitar, the woodwork, the workmanship and the creativity involved in the making of the instrument which contribute to make this work an inexhaustible and essential source of inspiration.
I did my apprentice at the Atelier du College Edouard-Montpetit in Longueuil,Quebec, where I’ve built some of my first instruments, in the beginning as a student and a few years later as an educator.
This apprenticeship gave me the chance to learn from many masters in different careers related to woodworking; cabinetmakers, pipe organ builder and luthiers.
